Department of Anesthesia is comprised of highly experienced
and trained physicians that are experts in pain management
and sedation. They are an important part of the clinical
team and work with your physician or surgeon in managing
your care.
If you are a surgical patient, prior to your scheduled operation a physician from the Department of Anesthesiology will visit you in your room to discuss the anesthesia that you will receive.
The anesthesiologist will recommend the most suitable form
of anesthesia based on
an evaluation of your medical history and the contemplated
procedure.
Any and all questions relating to your medical status and intended procedure can be answered at that time.
