The Department of Dentistry at Jamaica Hospital has been
providing valuable services to the community since it began
in 1972, and has grown to meet the community's increasing
needs. Our latest effort to meet those needs is the completion
of our brand new, state-of-the-art dental center, located
at 134-20 Jamaica Avenue.
|
The new center features a 15-chair dental clinic as well
as a separate, four-chair faculty practice within its 11,000
square feet of space. It is wonderfully decorated and features
all the latest, state-of-the-art dental equipment including
fiber optic, high-speed drills, the latest oral cancer screening
kits, and digital radiography units that will reduce the
amount of radiation required to take films. The dental center
also now has the ability to provide the latest techniques
in sterilization and has added a paperless, computerized
record, billing, and appointment system.
The spacious center has a large waiting area, with two televisions
and a play area for children. It is colorfully painted and
each exam room offers the patient a great deal of privacy.
The staff of over 60 voluntary attendings, three hygienists,
10 residents, and a large support staff, have all been specially
trained to provide the highest quality care and are dedicated
to making your visit as comfortable as possible.
