Clinical Services
amaica
Hospital's concept of a Woman's Health Care Center began
as a six room Ob/Gyn office and eventually transformed into
what is now a modern, fully-equipped, state-of-the-art facility
with 15 exam rooms and 3 procedure rooms to meet the specific
needs of women in the community.
In our center, we seek to
offer integrated clinical and educational services in
a comfortable and caring environment comprised of a friendly,
multi-lingual
staff. Providers from many disciplines come to the center
to share their expertise and offer their services. This
setting, which is situated within a larger, free standing
outpatient
center, provides an excellent opportunity for linking
the main campus of Jamaica Hospital with the Women's
Health Center.
Sharing a portion of the clinical space is the MediSys
Family Practice Center, maximizing the volume of services
offered
and providing additional family services.
Our multidisciplinary staff includes obstetricians, gynecologists, surgeons, technicians, radiologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, registered and licensed practical nurses. Our social workers, nutritionist, early identification, and intervention service counselors, health educator, and genetic consoler are all also available on a daily basis for consultation. Everyone at our center understands the importance of working towards a single goal, to provide our patients with the very best in healthcare.
