Inpatient
Chemical Dependency Unit (CDU)
This unit, located at our MediSys Flushing Location, offers
treatment for the safe withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs.
Detoxification services are provided by a dedicated and caring
professional staff, including physicians, physicians' assistants,
specially trained nurses and attendants, credentialed alcoholism
and substance abuse counselors, creative arts therapists, social
workers and psychiatric consultants. Admission is voluntary,
following intake screening. Patients are admitted 24 hours a
day, seven days a week. Discharge plans are based on the individual
