The Advanced Institute for Analytic Psychotherapy

The Advanced Institute for Analytic Psychotherapy, affiliated with the Advanced Center for Psychotherapy and chartered by the Regents of the University of the State of New York, offers a core curriculum in the clinical application of the psychodynamic psychotherapies. While integrating the significant current developments in analytically oriented psychotherapy, the Institute also strives to include coursework relevant to practical, social, ethical, and medical aspects of treatment.

Training is open to psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and registered nurses with psychiatric experience. Psychiatry residents from the MediSys campuses may choose to take any of the offered courses to enhance their psychotherapy skills.
