For billing related to your hospital stay and billed by the
hospital.
If you have any financial or billing questions during or
after your hospital stay please contact the Patient Accounts
Office. The JHMC Business Office/Patient Accounting
Department is responsible for processing all the hospital

For billing related to services provided by your physician during or after your
hospital stay and billed by the physician Practice.

If You Anticipate Difficulty in Paying
for Your Hospitalization
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center provides help to individuals
who may qualify for medical assistance, at no cost to the
patient.
Our Medicaid eligibility unit will perform an initial income
evaluation and, if you qualify, will assist you with:
- Providing a list of necessary documentation
- Setting up Appointments
- Completing a Medicaid application
- Filing the application with the New York State Department
of
- Medical Assistance
If your application is approved, you may receive partial
or full coverage for your current hospital and physician
bills, and future medical bills. To determine if you qualify,
